The key to success of any community lies in the people who live there.
In other words, the most valuable thing about any community is the people.

Sandy Lane CAN is a project that will create and promote a range of opportunities in Sandy Lane for Volunteers who want to use and develop the skills they have to improve Sandy Lane at the same time as getting valuable experience and help towards paid work.

The project is designed to support delivery of all the Sandy Lane Lotto projects as well as the wider activities of Sandy Lane Forum.  The project will identify and use the skills that already exist in the community to help meet the needs of the community as defined by the community.  At the same time it will serve to positively address the ‘Help into Jobs’ priority.

Communities R us! is the first step in the process which is to find out the skills and interests that already exist in this community.  The results will be used to show the range of this community's skills and interests and support activities to improve where you live.

The People of Sandy Lane voted for Sandy Lane CAN through Sandy Lane Lotto.

MCA is responsible for delivering Sandy Lane CAN.
